Hazel Lanes Pool

Hazel Lanes
Pool

The pool is open every day during the summer (beginning in late May) and is for the use and enjoyment of Hazel Lanes residents and their guests. The pool is open from 9:00 am to dusk. The pool is not supervised, so all children must be accompanied by an adult and, naturally, no one should swim alone. All visitors using the pool must be accompanied by an owner. The swimming season ends the Tuesday after Labour Day.

The Pool Committee is comprised of Vinceny Anthony, Shawne Murphy and Tim Zuber. In recent years, improvements have included a new pool heater, pump and motor, the installation of a salt generator (so we no longer require the use of chlorine) and in 2019 the pool and coping had extensive restoaration work. Some automation was also added so that other chemicals are maintained at a safe level. A new pool maintenance company, AquaPro Pools, was been hired to improve the reliability of the system. The Pool Committee wishes to remind all swimmers that it is not safe to enter the water whenever thunderstorms threaten. At the sound of thunder, or the sighting of lightning, the pool should be vacated immediately.

You may wish to refer to the Pool Rules contained in the Rules and Bylaws section of the website. There is an emergency telephone located in the washroom which is monitored at all times by the alarm company. In an emergency, lift the receiver, identify yourself and confirm your location to the alarm company and they will dispatch the appropriate emergency response agency.
