Rose Glow Barberry - Berberis 'Rose Glow'
Rose Glow Barberry has predominantly red foliage, with yellow and orange tones in spring similar to the brickwork at Hazel Lanes. An evergreen, it is relatively low growing and reasonably fast to spread to a bigger size. The branches have thorns which will discourage wildlife, but might bother children. A good plant for under a window.

Royal Burgundy Barberry has deep purple leaves and is an excellent replacement for the disease prone Purpleleaf Sandcherry. An evergreen, it is relatively upright in shape and reasonably fast to spread to a bigger size. The branches have thorns which will discourage wildlife, but might bother children. A good plant for in front of a wall. Examples can be seen at unit 68 and 69

Slow growing evergreen shrub with fine thread-like golden foliage. Mounding shape reaching 4 feet high by 3 feet wide. Examples can be seen in the side garden at unit 51. Best trimmed every year to keep a dense shape.

Unsurpassed for brilliant red autumn color. Very hardy and carefree, Dwarf Burning Bush grows into a 6 foot high plant with elegant form. Attractive bark adds winter interest to the landscape. Used primarily as a low-maintenance shrub.

Climbing Hydrangea - Hydrangea petiolaris</td>
Climbing hydrangea has flowers are produced on the previous year's ripened lateral shoots, usually on the upper portion of the plant. This self-clinging flowering vine is very shade tolerant. Large, plate-like flowers bloom in June. The central flowers are small but surrounded by show four-petalled white flowers. Prone to skeletonizing by Japanese Beetle.

A dense compact shrub ideal for hedging. It has bluish-green foliage throughout the season. It features subtle creamy white flowers along the branches in mid spring and an abundance of magnificent red berries from early to mid summer. Maximum height 5 feet, width reaches 4 feet. Used to provide screening behind units 15, 17 and 19.

Diablo Ninebark - Physocarpus opulifolius 'Monlo (Diabolo®)
This is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth with intensely purple leaves all season long, small white flowers followed by pretty reddish fruit which show well against the foliage, and interesting peeling papery bark; extremely tough and durable, makes a superb color accent. It features showy clusters of white flowers at the ends of the branches from late spring to early summer. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and can be pruned at anytime.

Gold Drop Potentilla - Potentilla parvifolia 'Farreri’ Gold Drop Potentilla is a compact potentilla with flowers ranging in size from ½" to just under an inch, and showing bright, golden-yellow color. Blooms begin to show in summer and last late into the growing season, providing a happy brightness to the yard when many other plants have already passed their bloom. The plant reaches just over 2' in height and 3' in spread. Examples can be seen by the pool.
