John and Jane Welsh moved to Hazel Lanes in 2022 from Hazelton North where they have lived for the past 28 years. The Welsh's have two children; their daughter Lauren is a staff physician at St Michael's Hospital in Toronto and their son Mark works with Intellijoint Surgical in Waterloo. They welcomed their first grandchild in May.

Since retiring the Welsh's have travelled widely and hope to continue their "happy wandering" going forward. Both Jane and John enjoy hiking and a variety of activities near or on the water. Jane also snow shoes and skis as opportunities present. She is an avid gardener. John golfs twice weekly with a group of friends.
