John and Vicki moved to Hazel Lanes in 2002 after spending the previous 20 years in the Masonville area. They have 2 sons each with their own businesses in London. Vicki, a life long Londoner, is an avid quilter. She has been a member of the 'Y's Ladies Day Out program for more than 30 years. John is 'retired' from Chorley & Bisset Ltd., a consulting engineering firm he co-founded with George Chorley in 1973. He flies model aircraft now that he has given up flying his Piper Cherokee.

John is the Past President of Hazel Lanes (and was part of the team which oversaw the amalgamation of the eight condominium corporations which were amalgamated in 2007). Together, the Bissets enjoy spending time with their 5 grandchildren and travelling whenever the spirit moves them. While technically retired, John is also very active with London Shriners. He continues to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation.
