The following extracts from the agreement with Tender Lawn Care set out the principal timelines for snow removal and walkway shoveling

Snowplowing Drives and Parking Spots

Roadways, parking spots and driveways shall be completely plowed on one or more visits within 9 hours following cessation of snowfall accumulating to 5 cm or more. The London weather office shall be used as a general guide, but conditions at the Hazel Lanes complex shall take precedence. The Contractor shall have all roadways plowed to a width of 2 car widths within 3 hours following the cessation of a snowfall. If it has been snowing for 3 hours and at least 5 cm of snow has accumulated, the Contractor shall plow all roadways to a width of 2 car widths; such plowing shall be completed within 3 further hours. Snow plowing shall be done as many times as necessary per snowfall. The Contractor shall clear snow during and after a snowstorm until the roadways, parking lots and driveways are completely clear. The Contractor shall plow all empty parking spots as close as safely possible to obstructions. Snow from each driveway shall be distributed on each unit's lawn. The Contractor shall return to Hazel Lanes complex to plow any entranceways which have been rendered difficult to use as a result of snow plowing by the City of London or its contractors.

Walkway Clearing

Walkways shall be completely shoveled within 9 hours following cessation of snowfall accumulating to 5 cm or more. The London weather office shall be used as a general guide, but conditions at the Hazel Lanes complex shall take precedence. Hazel Lanes acknowledges that the Contractor may need up to a 24-hour break after shoveling walkways before shoveling walkways again. De-icing materials shall be applied sparingly immediately after shoveling is complete where ice is a problem. Under freezing rain conditions, de-icing materials shall be applied to walkways.
